Terms
Last updated 8 October 2026
By creating an account or using the Notch API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Notch is free and provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may change, go down, or shut down at any time. Do not rely on it for anything where a lost or wrong count would cause you harm.
Public keys
Anyone with a counter's public key can read and increment it. You are responsible for where you put your keys and for what your counters are used for.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the API, get around its rate limits, or use it for anything unlawful. Accounts and counters used this way may be removed without notice.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date above shows when they last changed. Questions go to @jsmallsdev on X.
